Intimate Proposal and Engagement at Carl Schurz Park, NYC

So, I recently had the most incredible experience in NYC capturing a proposal at Carl Schurz Park on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Let me tell you, it was such a beautiful moment that just completely warmed my heart. It had been raining but it stopped just as the couple approached the spot and the sun came out – it was truly magical.

We even managed to have what seemed to be some of the only surviving cherry blossoms in the city since some very intense storms rolled through the area a few days before.

The best part about photographing a proposal like this is that you get to witness such raw, authentic emotions. You could just see the love and excitement radiating from the couple as he got down on one knee and popped the question. I feel very lucky that I got to be a part of this moment.

I love capturing these candid, intimate moments that will be cherished for a lifetime. It’s moments like these that remind me why I love being a photographer – being able to freeze time and capture love in its purest form.

So what do you think? Would you pop the question in Carl Schurz Park if you had the opportunity? What do you think the most romantic spot in New York City is to propose? Let me know in the comments or find me on Instagram, Facebook, or Threads and tell me your ideas.

Or feel free to browse my other engagement photo sessions here on the blog before you reach out to me about taking your own authentic photos. I look forward to hearing from you!
