Celebrating Interviews on Three Prestigious Photography Podcasts

It is great to be considered an expert in your field, and, over the past month, I have been honored to appear on not just one, but three prestigious photography podcasts! These incredible opportunities allowed me to share my passion for wedding photography, connect with a wider audience, and discuss the artistry and intricacies that go into capturing the most special moments of a couple’s big day.

A Month of Photography Podcasts

Appearing on these well-respected platforms was a bit mind blowing, to tell the truth. Hearing other photographers tell me how much they respect my work still makes my self-conscious self do a double take. Each podcast provided a unique space for us to delve into different aspects of wedding photography, offering insights, tips, and stories from my more than 20 years of experience in the field.

1. The MOOD Podcast

Stop one was The MOOD Podcast with Matt Jacob. Matt and I talked about a wide range of topics from wedding photography to being intentional in your work to the positives and negatives of social media. You can click here to listen to the episode on Apple Podcasts.

2. This Can’t Be That Hard

Next, we were featured on This Can’t Be That Hard. This podcast delves into the business side of running a photography business, and I was excited to share my strategy for standing out from the crowd. Given my nerdy childhood collecting comic books, I chose to discuss finding your photography superpower – the thing that you do better than anyone else in your market. What are my superpowers? Making people feel comfortable in front of the camera, capturing authentic moments, and delivering images quickly with a lightning fast turnaround. You can click here to listen to the episode.

3. The Beginner Photography Podcast

Finally, I did my second guest appearance on The Beginner Photography Podcast. The host, Matt, and I discussed how chasing the latest photography gear isn’t the key to becoming a better photographer as well as the lessons learned from some recent analog photography projects I have undertaken. Also, to bring the month full circle, we touched on how intentionality can improve everyone’s photography game.

Highlights and Takeaways

Each podcast provided a platform to not only share my expertise but also to reflect on the incredible journey I have been on as a wedding photographer. Here are some of the key takeaways from my podcast appearances:

  • Evolution and Adaptation: The importance of evolving with technology and trends while staying true to our artistic vision.
  • Emotional Connection: Building a strong connection with couples to capture authentic, heartfelt moments.
  • Intention: The significance of being intentional and how it makes a difference in wedding photos, taking pictures from merely trendy to timeless
  • Storytelling: Using photography to tell the unique love story of each couple, making your wedding day memories timeless.

Looking Ahead

I am very grateful for the opportunity to share my story on these platforms and for the positive feedback I have received so far from the listeners.

As I celebrate this achievement, I am more inspired than ever to continue capturing the beauty and joy of weddings. I look forward to bringing new ideas, techniques, and my particular creative vision to my work, ensuring that each wedding I photograph is as unique and special as the love stories I am honored to document.

If you listen to any of the episodes, let me know what you thought! And if you are a podcaster looking for someone to be a guest on your show about weddings or photographer – OR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY – feel free to reach out to me either through my website or via Instagram or Threads. I would love to discuss how I can help you!
