Before every engagement session, including this one on the Brooklyn waterfront, I will ask a series of questions that helps me get to know you better. Those answers give me insight into your relationship, how you show affection towards one another, as well as topics that we can discuss during the shoot to help take your minds off being photographed.
One of the questions I always ask is, “When did you know that your partner was ‘the one’?”

It may seem like kind of a cheesy question, but, for me, knowing when it clicked tells me so much about your relationship. That answer tells me what the most important things are to you, because that is what caused your feelings to crystalize at that particular moment.

Where did you meet? Oh, on “Coffee Meets Bagel”? Then, logically, your engagement photos should feature…

Also, while it is apparently okay to hug this tree in a Brooklyn park, if you are looking to hug one another, be careful! You just might smack your heads together!

Put your foreheads together. Now try to look at one another. Now think about how uncomfortable that is…
