This Manhattan rooftop wedding at Upstairs at the Kimberly came with great views of the city and, in my opinion, two lies.
First of all, when I first met with this couple, they told me how their relationship was based on a lie. You see, Molly and Bjorn are both scientists, and they happened to be working in the same lab. One day, Bjorn told Molly that he knew how to use a particular piece of lab equipment which he had no idea how to use just to get a chance to know her better. What he didn’t know was that Molly actually knew how to use the equipment. However, this bit of subterfuge worked out for them both!
The second lie?
Molly and Bjorn told me they were not photogenic. I 100% wholeheartedly disagree. You probably think the same when you see Molly in her stunning Vera Wang wedding gown and Bjorn looking like James Bond in that tux. He actually entered the ceremony to the 007 theme.
But it doesn’t matter what I think. It matters what you think as a couple. If you feel uncomfortable in front of the camera, or all of the photos you have of yourself feel forced, it can make you think you’re not photogenic. Which is why you should hire me.
Seriously, I specialize in this sort of thing. Making my clients feel relaxed and natural for their pictures is one of my main focuses as a wedding photographer. Also, I will make you feel relaxed by working out all of the logistics for the wedding day.
That was an especially difficult task for this wedding, as we went from Upstairs at the Kimberly to the Central Park Conservatory Gardens to Grand Central Station and back to the Kimberly again!
