These engagement photos at the South Street Seaport in Manhattan gave me a real sense of deja vu. Why? Well, first of all, I used to have an office a few blocks from the Seaport right next to the Brooklyn Bridge.
Let me take a moment to say that this area has changed dramatically over the years. When I first started coming to the South Street Seaport to take photos, it was not nearly as ‘clean’ as it is today. There has been a lot of renovation of the area, and some of the area is still under construction.
The other factor in this engagement photo session that had a familiar feeling was the bride-to-be! I have photographed both her sister and her best friend’s weddings. So, she is very familiar with my work, and she wanted to come to me because I specialize in relaxed, candid photography.
