Yes, people are going to approach you! Some will even ask if they can have a photo taken with you. Why? I have NO IDEA. Most of the people who will ask to take a picture with you will be tourists, and the closer you are to a major tourist attraction the more likely it will happen. Perhaps they see it as a ‘unique New York City experience’?
Regular New Yorkers are just going to shout congratulations at you.
How do I know this? Because I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings in the city and you just can’t escape it.
