You may have seen the photos from Renata and Nikhil’s Hindu celebration already. If not, click here and check it out. In this post, I am sharing photos from their modern Western wedding celebration at Tarrytown House Estate in the Hudson Valley.
One of my favorite things about being a wedding photographer is capturing candid, emotion filled moments. I want you to feel like you were transported back to it when you look at the photos. Even if you don’t know the people in the pictures, you should feel like you have a sense of their personality and who they are and what that moment was like.
That is what makes for great wedding photography, in my opinion. You can see it in the photos below. These wedding portraits are some of my favorites that I have taken recently because they have so much feeling behind them. The personality and emotion is just so present in the pictures.
Sorry, I guess I should actually show you the wedding photos that I am talking about instead of just talking about them. Sometimes I have to stop myself from going on and on about what I love about my job. Okay, let’s get to the photos…

Let me tell you, it was NOT easy to arrange two hundred drunk people at the end of the night for that sparkler exit, but I made it happen. Those little things that you may not think of are the reason you hire an experienced wedding photographer.
