Whenever I am working with a couple on their engagement photos, I look for opportunities to have fun. That can mean having them interact with one another. But sometimes, it can mean interacting with their surroundings, like in this fun NYC engagement photo.
Throughout this engagement session, we found a lot of amazing graffiti and murals to take photos with. This particular image, outside a coffee shop, felt particularly fun when placing the couple ‘in the mouth’ of the mural.
The photo featured in this post, taken in NYC’s SoHo (South of Houston Street) neighborhood, recently won a Diamond Award for “Excellence in Engagement Photography” from the Wedding Photojournalist’s Association (WPJA). Winning an award from my peers in the wedding photography industry for the quality of my work is truly humbling.
