The first professional photography job in New York City was a DUMBO, Brooklyn photo session. That area of Brooklyn down by the waterfront has always appealed to me (even before it became popular). It’s why I keep coming back to photos like the one below.
The area keeps bringing me back. Development has taken away some of my favorite murals, or the tobacco factory building, or the rough metal patina of the old industrial building doors…and that’s unfortunate, because they made for more than awesome Brooklyn engagement photo session.
But it has also brought with it Brooklyn Bridge Park, which was the home for the photo above, titled, “Lean On Me.”
“Lean On Me” recently received a Diamond Award from the Wedding Photojournalist Association for excellence in engagement photography.
