Sometimes, even when you think you know all the best spots for photos, you come across a new location.

I’ve been taking photos in Brooklyn since the end of the last millennium. While I’m very familiar with the borough and the hot spots for pictures, I do love finding NEW spots that no one knows about.
So, when Renata and Nikhil and I were discussing locations for their engagement photo session, I was super excited to hear about the ice cream shop/soda fountain that they wanted to take pictures at in their neighborhood.
Equally as awesome were the spots we found just South of Brooklyn Bridge Park, under the Brooklyn Promenade, with beaches and piers…it was amazing!
These are totally new spots that have literally been created in the last few years as the waterfront has been transformed.
And finally, we made our way to the roof of a hotel in the Brooklyn Bridge area for some super cool sunset shots of the city. Seriously, the view does not get any better than this! Check out the photos below, and be sure to get in touch to photograph your Brooklyn engagement photos!
