Wondering how to make sure your wedding day goes off without a hitch? Communication plays a huge part ensuring that everything goes smoothly.

From the beginning of the wedding planning process, making sure that there are good lines of communication between you and your wedding photographer (and your wedding planner if you have one) will help solidify great photos of your wedding day.

And it’s not just a matter of working out the details of who needs to be where and when. A good timeline is essential but it does not fulfill everything you need.

Email, texting, and whatever your preferred method of electronic messaging are great for quickly touching base, but sometimes nothing replaces a phone call or a Skype/FaceTime session.

Why?

Well, photography can seem like an abstract concept to most couples. Yes, you KNOW when you’re looking at a photo if you like it….if you think it is ‘good’, but it might be difficult for you to put those concepts into words.

From the first time we talk, I will ask questions and find out more about you and what really matters to you in regards to your photos.

That way I know where your priorities are, and how to best meet and manage your expectations.

After you book me for your wedding, I will talk with you to find out more about your relationship and the things that are important to you so that your photos and your coverage reflect your personalities and what is important TO YOU!

While there are lulls in communication (usually after the engagement session until a few months before the wedding to start finalizing the timeline), it is important to know that the lines of communication are always open.

You can always reach out to me with questions, asking for advice on other vendors, or just to vent about the wedding planning process.

If that’s what you’re looking for in a wedding photographer, please contact me today to talk about how I can help you!
