What’s most important to you on your wedding day?
√ Connecting with loved ones?
√ Incorporating things you really enjoy into your wedding design/theme?
√ Celebrating your love for one another?
√ All of the above plus making sure there are beautiful photos to document the entire thing?
Well, Rebecca and Steve managed to check all of those items off their list with their beautiful Connecticut wedding.
Surrounded by people they love dearly, they pulled of a stylish DIY wedding, incorporating elements that are close to their hearts. Steve works in film and TV editing, and they both love movies, so they started off the ‘movie’ theme in with a welcome package full of essentials in a movie theater popcorn bag (complete with a program of the events).
They continued the theme with a film inspired table names including Ghostbusters, Twister, The Princess Bride, and Star Wars (I was at the Star Wars table, because I’m a Jedi…). The table names were displayed on a movie marquee!
But it didn’t stop there…oh no! This was Bex & Jax: The Movie! They also created table signs using some of the photos I took at their engagement session to create mini movie posters for the wedding. You can see an example in the photos below.
I know how much work goes into all of these details. I know how important they are to you as a couple. You spend a lot time, effort, and money on your wedding day and you deserve to have that part of the story told.
And on top of those details, there’s all the love. The people you care about. Your love for one another.
Those are the TRULY important things, and I will always be sure to capture those moments.
