“Would you be willing to do engagement photos at our school?”
I am always open to new and interesting locations for photos – ESPECIALLY if that location means something to the couple. Jen and Josh met at this school. Both of them teach at this school! So I thought the idea of taking their engagement photos there would be fantastic.
Having Josh, who is VERY tall, sit in a chair meant for a small child instantly produced some laughs. We wandered the halls, hung out in the cafeteria and auditorium, and ended up on the playground. When I think about it, it kind of reminded me of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off…
Side note about Ferris Bueller: When Ben Stein is calling out names in class, he goes through six or seven ‘A’ names. Then, he calls out “Bueller…Bueller…Bueller?”. Not too hard to believe, nobody else with “B” name. But then he jumps directly to “Fry? Cameron Fry?” I’m supposed to believe that there are six kids in this class with last names that start with an ‘A’, but there are no C, D, or E names? I love John Hughes movies, but this is a little hard for me to swallow.
Speaking of John Hughes…this shoot did not remind me of Ferris Bueller…The Breakfast Club…definitely The Breakfast Club.
Jen and I also bonded over our mutual love of Grey’s Anatomy…more on that another day.
So adorable! What did you think of this school engagement session? Leave me a comment and let me know. Do you want to take your engagement photos in a unique location? Reach out and let me know where and we’ll set up a session!
