The groom looked around wildly, trying to locate someone. Being the attentive person I am, I already knew what was going on, and I knew how to help.
“I need to find the wedding planner…”
“No, it’s fine. She’s got other things to deal with. I’ve got this…”
I’d noticed what was going on a moment earlier through my lens. As a wedding photographer, it’s not just about taking the pictures, but offering a helping hand when it is needed. What’s the point of observing everything that’s going on if you don’t make that decision to step in? Maybe it’s just me, but I feel that’s part of my job – making things easier for you so you don’t have to worry.
“I’ve got something on my shirt!”
“I noticed,” I replied, already attacking the spot with the stain stick I keep in my bag. A moment later, he was good to go.
“How do the photos look? Is there anything I should being doing differently?” he asked as I finished up.
“You both look great. You look like you’re in love and having a great time. So go back and do more of that!”
Are you looking for a photographer who’s attentive to your needs? Someone who sees past the pictures and wants to make sure you’re relaxed and care free? If you are, you should get in touch with me.
