Conservatory Garden Engagement: Jaclyn + Aaron

“We want to take pictures in the Conservatory Garden…”

When Jaclyn and Aaron they told me they wanted to take their engagement photos in the Conservatory Garden, I wanted to make sure they knew that there are strict guidelines. They had a lot going on in the months leading up to their wedding, and I knew it might be something that would slip by them.

You see, the Conservatory Garden is a beautiful location for photos, and it seems like it is just another part of Central Park.

But it is not.

It is it’s own separate entity.

And you need a permit to take photos there. Engagement photos, wedding photos, any type of ‘professional’ photography. I’ve photographed there MANY times and they are VERY strict about it. You will have a security guard up in your business in a minute flat if you show up there looking to take pictures.

I’m not kidding.

So I reached out and made sure they knew they needed the permit, and it was smooth sailing from there. We were able to show up and take our photos – and the only thing I needed to do was help them be themselves!

What do you think of their session? Let me know in the comments section.
