“He makes great faces…”
I stopped for a moment when she told me. It made me smile when I realized the significance of it. With everything that happens on a wedding day, during all of the hustle and bustle, when I asked her what some of the things she really wanted to remember from the day were…that was right up near the top of the list.
Great faces.
All the details matter. All of the planning that goes into making the day right for you matters. But, on top of everything else, the faces are really, really important.
It makes sense though, doesn’t it? Because what weddings are really about are relationships. Between the couple, and their friends and family. And at a wedding, you can definitely read how someone feels on their face. The love. The care. The joy.
It’s all written right there.
And aren’t those the things you want to remember for years to come? Twenty years from now, are you going to look back and only think about the details you chose? Or are you going to see what is evident on the faces of those who were there? Seeing those reaction, those emotions, those REAL moments that reflect your feelings for one another?
Also, in my opinion, they both make great faces!
