“I need to sit down.”
I knew this was a turning point. The day could go either way from here. They’d been through a lot of stressful crap recently, her nursing a sprained ankle was one of the least among them. So they sat down on the bench.
And it started to rain…
But then, a woman sitting at the other end of the bench opened her umbrella and put it over them.
And they smiled.
I knew it was all going to be okay.
Because they knew what really mattered, and it wasn’t the little difficulties that life throws in your way.
What matters is all the little things. Including ponies, lots of ponies.
What matters is family and friends, together under one roof.
Laughing and dancing until the early hours of the morning.
And S’mores…gotta have S’mores!
