I love working at Liberty Warehouse. I photographed one of the first (if not the first, I’m not sure) wedding they had at the venue, and I love going back. So when Tory and Matt contacted me and told me their reception would be at the Brooklyn waterfront venue, I was especially excited.
But before we get to Liberty Warehouse, let us get ready with the bride. First, I highly recommend getting a nice hanger for your wedding dress. It doesn’t have to be a custom one, like Tory’s, but as long as it is NOT the crappy plastic hanger most wedding gowns come with.
The bridesmaids showing off where they met the bride!
Ooooooo, the anticipation!
Here she comes!
Mom had to yell out the window of the limo as they drove away.
Now that, folks, is a church…
I also love the little details that tie a wedding day together, like these topiary monograms.
Gorgeous flowers by City Iris.
Stopping by the carousel at Brooklyn Bridge Park in DUMBO on our way to Liberty Warehouse.
Having a bit of fun…
Gorgeous ladies…
And handsome guys…
The naked cake. When done right, I really like it. Interestingly enough, this is the second wedding I’ve photographed at Liberty Warehouse that had a ‘cut out cake topper’…
I love this custom hashtag – #LetsBeFranks
The view at Liberty Warehouse is pretty gorgeous, I must say, inside and out!
The couple and their guests tore it up on the dance floor, even doing an impromptu ‘limbo’ with one guest’s cane.
Matt was surprised with a New York Giants themed groom’s cake – and when you have a football cake, you must take the hand off. Remember, Matt, keep your hands on the points…
Matt’s dad apparently owned a car wash – so when the band played the song ‘Car Wash’, everyone created a human car wash…
Almost time to say goodbye…
Thank you, Tory and Matt! It was an amazing wedding to take part in. I really loved being there.
The very prominent wedding blog, Wedding Chicks, really loved this Liberty Warehouse wedding too. So much that they did a feature on this wedding. You can click here to read more about that.
