I love working on weddings that have a lot of personal details. The personalities of the couple are reflected in everything that surrounds their special day. Ann and Ed’s wedding at The Inn at Fernbrook Farms in New Jersey definitely had many personal touches!

I love this shot of Ann and her mom finishing their makeup on opposite sides of the wall.

How about this Do-It-Yourself seating assignment table made from an old door and windows?

Or hand painted signs and cornhole boards? The boards also double as the ‘guest book’

Flowers? Yea, those were DIY too!

Putting on the finishing touches before the ‘first look’…

Uh oh! Looks like rain!

First looks. First reveals. Whatever you call them, I enjoy capturing the first moment a couple sees each other on their wedding day.

The ladies, looking beautiful.

The gentlemen, looking gorgeous as well. They are so sweet!

Into every life, a little rain must fall. And sometimes it is on your wedding day. Luckily, they were prepared.

Because the rain did not let up.

In fact, it started coming down harder. But no one allowed a bit of rain to dampen their spirits!

“I’m not crying. It’s just raining on my face.” No, they were actually crying – tears of joy!

High fives all around! And what are you all waiting for? It’s party time!!

The sun goes down, and the lights come on!

Are they cutting up her wedding dress? No. Merely making the pockets accessible!

The naked wedding cake. Simple – and delicious!

Ann and Ed’s guests certainly knew how to have a great time on the dance floor!

I had a great time photographing this wedding – and the TWO other weddings I photographed for this family afterwards. It is the ultimate compliment when families hire me to photograph more than one wedding for them. That makes me feel that I have truly accomplished my job.
