It’s a big day! I have a dozen photos up on The Knot’s blog for their article – 3 Themes That Shouldn’t Inspire Your Wedding. What themes? Well, The Hunger Games, Game of Thrones and True Blood.

Want to see more pictures? I will be posting more on my blog in a little while. The anticipation is palpable…stay tuned!

It is obvious whoever wrote this did not read the trilogy, or even one of “The Hunger Games” books. The book is based not only on the barbaric events that in a near future could happen, but it has a true love story tied to it. Saying that people should not have that as their wedding theme makes no sense. If true love that can survive anything is wrong, then I don’t know why these people are getting married in the first place.

Thanks for the comment. I’ve read all three books in the trilogy. My question, and I am playing “Devil’s Advocate” here (oh, also SPOILER ALERT for anyone who hasn’t read the books yet) but does Katniss truly love Peeta? The author points us in the direction that Katniss does not “truly” love either Gayle or Peeta. She simply seeks who is most likely to help her survive given the world that she lives in. In the end, Katniss and Peeta are together because the other is the only person who can understand what they have been through, but does anything about their relationship say ‘true love’?
