It is a funny thing – when people say ‘destination wedding’, you generally think of exotic locales, perhaps the tropics. Living in New York City, I don’t know how many people living here realize that New York is a major destination wedding spot for people from around the country and the world. And while I love my out of town ‘destinations’, NYC is home and I love shooting weddings for ‘out-of-towners’ who have come to the Big Apple for their big day!
Julie and Nathan came over to New York from England a couple of weeks ago for their wedding in Central Park…
For this wedding, I also had the pleasure of working with the wonderful Rev. Annie Lawrence. I always enjoy working with her. Why? Well, for one, she is genuinely invested with the couples she marries. Also, when we are not working on weddings together, we discuss comic books and science fiction. Geeks unite!
In small world news, Julie and Nathan are from Nottingham – yes, that Nottingham! And I have family nearby in Lincoln. Don’t expect me to be yelling “Welcome to Sherwood!” anytime soon, though. Well, on second thought, I do occasionally yell that.
Spring in springing in New York.
Thank you, Julie and Nate!
