I have been away from the blog for a little while because…well, I got married.

Why does she put up with me? I might have mentioned something about the Zombie Apocalypse in the wedding vows…

So now I can get back to work, right? Not quite…not that I haven’t been working, I have been CRAZY busy since getting back. That is what taking a couple weeks off for a honeymoon will do to you. But before I completely shift gears back into marketing mode and showing off my work I wanted to take some time to thank the people who made our wedding possible.

The Photographers – Anthony Collins and Yariv Dotan

“Who did you get to take your wedding photos?” I heard this many times over the last year. Well, I got two trusted friends of mine who are not only great photographers but they are also great people. I love them dearly and they did an amazing job capturing our wedding.

The Venue – F.E.A.S.T. at Round Hill

Superb! Spectacular! First off, the location is gorgeous, a mansion up in the mountains – we also lucked out on the weather and got a beautiful day. The food was amazing (including the cake by The Pastry Garden) and the service was impeccable. Every time I turned around, someone handed me a drink. Now that’s what I call service!

The DJ – 74 Events

I’ve worked with Gary (aka DJ Gaza), the owner of 74 Events, many times and I refer him all of the time to couples that I work with. So when Caroline and I got engaged he was one of the first people I called. Gary, however, was already booked for our date but he set us up with his ‘second in command’, Constantine. All I can say is this – THEY ROCK! Gary was involved from start to finish in the planning process. Constantine balanced the emotional moments (I might have cried…a lot) with our energetic, drunken guests need to dance and when the time came, he blew the doors off the dance floor and gave us exactly what we wanted – a dance party!

The Flowers – Steven Bruce Design

Another vendor who I had worked with prior to our wedding who just blew me away. The flowers were stunning. Steve and his wife, Melissa, gave us everything that we hoped for and more. The week leading up to the wedding, Steve was emailing Caroline telling her how the flowers were coming along, not only reassuring her but building the excitement to see them!

The Bus – West Point Tours

The bus ride back to the hotel on the big yellow school bus may go down in history. Songs were sung, from the theme to The Jeffersons to Build Me Up, Buttercup (a request from the driver). Thankfully there are no pictures from this portion of the evening. So we will just end with this picture…

In conclusion, much fun was had by all – and if any of these vendors are reading this post…THANK YOU! I love you all, very much. Always work with people you like!
